Both medications are subcutaneous injections (meaning just under the skin, not into a muscle), given at home using small insulin-style needles into a fatty layer of the abdomen or thigh. NAD+ is taken weekly. Sermorelin is taken nightly on an empty stomach, timed to the body's natural overnight release of growth hormone.

Its decline with age is well documented in the aging literature (Rajman et al., 2018; Lautrup et al., 2019). Injectable NAD+ raises serum levels directly. Sermorelin prompts the pituitary to release growth hormone in the body's natural overnight rhythm. That overnight release tends to decline with age. Sermorelin has been studied for sleep quality, body composition, and growth-hormone-related effects in adults receiving it (Walker, 2006; Khorram et al., 1997).
NAD+ and Sermorelin act on different systems, which is why they're prescribed together rather than as alternatives.
